About the Owner
Megan Mendez, RN, NP-C is a dual masters prepared advanced practice registered nurse. She has spent over 15 years in healthcare and has worked in various healthcare settings both as a registered nurse and an advanced practice nurse. She spent over 7 years in nursing education educating aspiring registered nurses and aspiring nurse practitioners. She is passionate about education and credits her late mother who always encouraged her to “get a good education” and “learning is lifelong”.
In addition to healthcare Megan is a business owner and small business acquisition and growth specialist. She has spent over a decade acquiring small businesses, scaling those businesses and later selling them for a profit. Megan has spent years managing healthcare businesses such as private practice, homecare agencies, senior daycares among others.
Homecare is not only special to me, it is personal as well. Several years ago my mother was dying from breast cancer and the hospital sent her home to die. They didn’t send her home with homecare or even provide me with the resources to help care for her. Even though I was a nurse this was still frustrating and I felt helpless in the situation. Since that happened I have made a vow to myself to do everything I can to prevent another family from going through what I did. Since then I have acquired a homecare agency and still work that agency to this day.
