Introduction

Gastrostomy tubes (G-tubes) provide a safe and reliable way to deliver nutrition, fluids, and medications directly into the stomach when oral intake is not possible or sufficient.
The Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy (PEG) tube is one of the most common types of G-tubes.
Proper handling, cleaning, and securement are essential to prevent complications, ensure patient comfort, and promote safe home care.

This training will provide an overview of PEG tube care, including site maintenance, feeding procedures, medication administration, venting, and troubleshooting.
