Keep a split gauze around the tube at all times.
Do not use a “button buddy” with this type of tube.
Change the gauze daily or whenever it becomes soiled or moist.
Turn the tube in the tract about ¼ turn once per day.
This helps prevent the external bar from irritating the same spot on the skin.
